Namsan Park is a major landmark of Seoul, but having visiting a month or two after arriving in Korea back in 1994, I never came back… until we visited with the family a couple weeks ago. The old castle wall of Seoul crossed over this mountain, and just about anything...
When we arrived in Namwon on Day 1, we stopped for 추어탕 for lunch, and enjoyed it with a bottle of 복분자. Of course, our 삼겹쌀 dinner included 막걸리 and 소주. On Day 2, we stopped for 막걸리 and 파전 at this rest stop which had been featured in 1박2일...
Apparently Korean classical music started in this area too, and there's a garden here to commemorate it, located right next to the Hwangsan Battle Memorial Site.
Just driving down a country road looking for a place to stay, we came across this place, which may be the nicest inn we’ve ever stayed at in Korea. The buses that runs the circuit road around the island only go every hour or two, it would have taken forever to get to all the places we might want to see by public transport. So we hired a taxi tour guide to take us around and really liked taking...
Haeui Island is a beautiful place. From coastline to mountains to rice paddies to mud flats, there's a little of everything. I think I could definitely enjoy living in a place like this as long as I can get an Internet connection. (Visit in Google Maps.)
