Last year, we visited the birthplaces of former Korean presidents Kim-Young Sam and Roh Moo-Hyun. Those were easy to get to; to reach President Kim Dae-Jung's birthplace, we had to take a boat from Mokpo in the afternoon to the remote island of Haeui and return the next day on the morning boat. Based on the guest book, it looks like around a dozen or so people make it out to the site each day.
