Last stop on our trip down to Geoje Island last month was the birthplace of former Korean President Roh Moo-Hyeon. After his retirement from the presidency, he returned to this place to live. But in June 2009, he killed himself by leaping from a hill behind his house (the one visible in the background of the top photo below). Thus, the area now contains a temporary museum, his gravesite and a lot of people coming to pay their respects. The spot he jumped from is nearly accessible (blocked by a fence at the edge) as shown in the fifth photo down.
