This is where long-time political opposition figure and former Korean President Kim Young-Sam was born. They've since built a museum next to his childhood home.
One of the highlights of his career was when he was kicked out of the National Assembly in 1979 by the Park Chung-Hee regime; I just got done reading about that yesterday in the book The Park Chung Hee Era, and the scene in the top photo below is from that incident.
