Walking the Chirisan Doollae-Gil – Overview of Section 8, Woonri to Deoksan

What to Expect

If you like waterfalls, this is the section for you. Just be sure you’ve got the stamina to do the entire section at once, as you won’t find a store to recharge on food or drink, or a place to stay for the night, anywhere but at the ends of the section. Deoksan, in particular, is nice as it’s a cute little town with facilities, runs along a beautiful river and has some historical sites on the path.

Getting There

Take the bus from elsewhere in the country to Hamyang and then a local bus to Weonji Terminal. From there, there are a couple buses each day to Woonri and hourly buses to Deoksan.
