Our car's the one that you can't see behind this one. Fortunately, most every car has the cell phone number of the owner shown in the front window and Myunghee's calling the owner to ask him to come out and move his car so we can get out.
We took the train to Ssangge Temple but decided to return home by bus. The sign in the third photo below contratulates Professor Woo-Seok Hwang for getting a stem cell-related patent in Canada. Professor Hwang is the guy who became a rock-star of the bio-tech world about 7-8 years ago...

On the way back from Bulil waterfall, which was forty-five minutes or so from Sangge Temple, we stopped for a rest at this small mountaintop temple. The monk invited us in for tea and a chat. This is a great way to spend an afternoon; I highly recommend it!
Ssanggye Temple is named for two streams that flow by on either side of the temple. This is one of them.
We happened to show up at Ssangye Temple on an evening that a group of 25 Americans were passing through for the night. They weren't really there for the temple; their tour had them visiting the sites where various Korean dramas were filmed, but I guess the organizers thought 15...
They do this at 3am and 5:50pm every day. Make sure you watch the guy who steps up to the big drum at 8:45 into the video; he's the star of the show!
