Visiting the temple was interesting; but nothing unexpected there. What was really fascinating for us was to walk up the hill behind and find it covered in foxholes, a network of semi-submerged walkways and even a concrete bunker. The Korean War didn't seem to have been from such a distant past as we walked around. Just in case, we were even careful to stay on the trail and not wander off into the brush. Would have hated to lose a leg (or a kid!) out there in a surprise explosion!
