What to Expect
The starting point at Weonbuchun Village is about a half-hour walk up from the main road and since there're only one or two buses a day this way, it's likely you will have walked to this point. From here, it's yet another couple hours up the paved road, with an unrelenting incline. The view from the top is pretty impressive though, with the peaks of Chiri mountain clearly visible across the entire field of vision to the north. On the way down, there's a really cute spot for noodles and coffee with extremely friendly owners. If they're open, don't miss the chance to stop by.
Getting There
Take the bus from elsewhere in the country to Hadong and then Hwagae or to Gurye and then Hwagae and then Hadong. Between Hwagae and Hadong, get off at Buchun-Ri and head up the road.
