Over the many years I've lived in Korea, I've really never properly seen some of the more historic areas.
Thus, I scheduled a five-day mini-vacation to Bukchon, Seoul to take place after the date of my masters thesis defense but before our annual winter trip to the US. Seemed like a great way to unwind and celebrate completion of the thesis during a little "down time".
Unfortunately, though I passed the defense, I've still got work left to do, so it looks like a chunk of my time here will be spent finishing up the thesis. Still, it's a nice environment to spend a few days.
