I was out in Suweon a couple weeks ago for a luncheon at which Governor Kim spoke. The theme of his speech was pretty standard stuff: "Korea's overcome all kinds of terrible adversity over the past 100 or so years to reach its current level of success". It's inspiring alright, but I've heard the story so many times now that it's a bit old for me.
