This island is named for a Korean general who was unjustly executed many hundreds of years ago and then buried here. It was also the filming spot for the Korean drama Winter Sonata, which was evidently extremely popular around Asia, as demonstated by the thousdands of tourists from many countries around Asia who visit the place each day (including the day we were there).
