Daytrip to Ganghwa Island (6 of 9) – Goryo Palace Site

This spot was the capital of Goryo for while during the 1200s while the main capital at Gaeseong was being overrun by Mongols. It was also attacked by the Chinese in the 1600s. Not much is left, including the national library from which the French took what they could and burned down the rest.
