This is right on the border with North Korea. (Click here to visit in Google Maps.) I wasn't actually supposed to take the top photo but didn't notice the sign prohibiting photos in the direction of North Korea until after I'd take it. It's a marker that commemorates a battle that took place here in the Korean War. The second photo is of the "Punch Bowl", also where a lot of action took place during the war.
