I Attended a GyeongGi Province Foreign Investment Discussion Last Week

I had a busy day on Thursday out at the GyeongGi Province office.

First it was lunch with Don Valiant (pictured here) and then a discussion forum about attracting foreign investment to Korea (pictured below). The discussion got me thinking and yesterday I posted a question to the Korea Economic Forum on Korea Business Central about FDI which I’m still waiting for a persuasive answer on ([EXPIRED LINK REMOVED: https://stevenbammel.com/category/archives/kbcgroup/koreaeconomicforum/forum/topics/am-i-right-in-my-understanding] click here for that discussion.)

At any rate, after the discussion on Thursday and before getting in my car to go home, I took the photo of the main building of Provincial Office shown here.

The folks pictured in the third photo below are, from left to right, Byeong-Hoon Im (Chairman of GAFIC, for which I’m a consulting committee member), Dr. Eun-Gyeong Kim (researcher at a GyeongGi Province-based research center) and Dr. Choong-Yeong Ahn (ombsudsman at Invest Korea, representing the interests of foreign companies in Korea).
