Here's the photo of the Ansan Creek area near our apartment a few weeks ago: /2010/04/this-view-will-be-transformed-into-a-tulip-wonderland.

The black sign says, "We will never forget the sacrifice of the soldiers of the Cheonan battleship." Last year there was concert at the Tulip Festival with a famous singer, and the governor came out and spoke to the crowd; this year, in commemoration of the national tragedy of the sinking of the Cheonan, these events were cancelled. It was still nice to be able to enjoy the flowers though which had been planted months ago.
