Staying at the Bandit’s Den Homestay in Hwasoon-Gun, Cheollanam Province

We watched a five-part series on the "Human Theater (인간극장)" on KBS called "The Bandit's Daughter (산적의 딸)" several months ago.

It was the story of a family that moved from the Seoul area down to a rural area near Gwangju in the southern part of Korea and has been offering a rural homestay (민박) to city people wanting a different experience. They call their place the Bandit's Den (산적소굴).

We liked the idea so much that we headed down on Saturday for a night. Here are photos of our "hut", complete with a wood fire-warmed floor.
